Lampung, Indonesia (November 21, 2016) – Haldin Pacific Semesta introduced its new spice and seasoning plant with steam sterilization equipment.  This new plant underscores Indonesia’s position as the leading natural ingredient and spice country in the world.

“Spice and seasoning ingredients is one of our main product segments, said Mr. Ali Haliman, CEO of Haldin.  “We are proud to inaugurate the Lampung plant as part of our growing production facilities.”

“With steam sterilization technology, we believe that we will produce the finest spice ingredients in Indonesia” said Mr. Haliman. “The Lampung plant supports our commitment to a direct sourcing model where Haldin obtains raw materials locally and manufactures world class ingredients required in North America, Europe, and Asia.”

Joining the Haldin Board of Directors at the inauguration event were local government officials from Lampung, Mr. Withanage Don Lionel Gunaratne who is the executive director of International Pepper Community, and Haldin customer representatives.

The Lampung plant employs 100 people.  Together with other facilities in Cibitung, Cikarang, Ciamis, and Setu, Haldin will operate 70,000 square meters of ingredient manufacturing facilities – the largest local manufacturer in Indonesia. With total capacity around 20,000 tons per year and more than 4,000 tons for steam sterilization, Lampung plant can put spice and seasoning products into production such as black pepper, white pepper, andaliman pepper, bay leaf, clove bud, coriander, candle nut, cinnamon, galangal, ginger, mace, nutmeg, chili, seaweed, turmeric, and tamarind.
